KIHU 1010 AM Salt Lake City Maintenance
Our transmitter site at 1010 AM Tooele is undergoing some electrical maintenance this morning, 9-07-10. We appreciate your patience as we perform this important task.
KIHU 1010 AM Back to Full Signal Strength
As of 1pm MT today (8/23/10), KIHU 1010 AM has restored utility power. We are back to operating on full signal strength.

KIHU 1010 AM on Reduced Power
Due to severe winds in the Salt Lake City region, there have been numerous power outages. Our transmitter at KIHU 1010 AM is currently running on generator power. As a result, we are running on reduced signal strength.
As soon as utility power is restored, we will be back operating at full signal strength.

Special Programming for Tuesday, August 3rd
There will be special programming on Tuesday, August 3rd. We will feature live broadcasts from the Knights of Columbus 128th Supreme Convention. Our special programming scheduling is as follows (all times in PDT):
- Pre-event Coverage – 6 – 6:30am
- Open and Mass – 6:30 – 8am
- Interviews with Attendees 8 – 10am
- Opening Session – 10 – 12:30 (except New Mexico)

Special Programming on Monday, August 2
We will have special programming on Monday morning, August 2. A Mass celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of the Angels will air, beginning at 5am. This Mass is 2 hours in length.
As a result of this programming, the following programs will not air:
- Fire on Earth
- Food For the Journey
- Holy Rosary with Father Scalon and Dana
Programming Changes for Friday, July 30
There will be special programming on Friday, July 30. We will broadcast the Episcopal Ordination of The Very Reverend David M. O’Connell, C.M.
The broadcast will begin at 6pm PDT and will last 2 and 1/2 hours.
As a result of this special programming, the following programs will not air as regularly scheduled:
- Kresta in the Afternoon
- Father John Corapi
- The Rosary is a Place with Father Benedict and Simonetta / Catholic Utah Now, encore (Salt Lake City only)
- The Wisdom of Father Benedict Groeschel
- Reasons for Faith / Archbishop’s Radio Hour, encore (San Francisco only)
Special Programming on KIHP 1310 AM, July 19
There will be special programming on KIHP 1310 AM, Mesa, Arizona today, July 19, beginning at 2pm PDT.
Immaculate Heart Radio will be broadcasting the live Ordination Mass of Auxiliary Bishop
Eduardo Analis Nevares from St. Thomas in Avondale, Arizona.
At the conclusion of Mass, we will join regular programming in progress.
KIHP 1310 AM Mesa/Phoenix Has a New Transmitter!
We are pleased to announce that KIHP 1310 AM, Mesa has a new transmitter! Our Phoenix-area listeners will undoubtedly notice the marked improvement in volume and clarity this important upgrade has provided. As some may know, our previous transmitter died, leaving us on a lower powered backup transmitter. Shipping and installation of a new transmitter unfortunately takes time, but our engineers have completed the task, and signal strength is back to 100%.

We will have special programming on Tuesday, June 29. We will air the Papal Mass for the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul with Pope Benedict XVI. This special programming begins at 7pm PDT and is a 2 hour Mass.
This change will impact the following:
- Father John Corapi
- The Rosary is a Place with Father Benedict Groeschel and Simonetta
- The Wisdom of Father Benedict Groeschel
Our regularly scheduled programming will resume at 9pm PDT, unless the Mass extends its scheduled 2 hours.
